A US pilot was in luck when his falling aeroplane made a soft landing, thanks to a row of portable toilets.
The Cessna 182 suffered apparent engine failure after taking off from Thun Field airfield south-east of Tacoma in Washington state.
As it fell, the plane hit a fence, flipped upside down and landed on toilets being stored near the runway by the Northwest Cascade company.
A company employee said the toilets had "kind of cushioned things".
And I thought the worst thing that could happen to you was finding there was no toilet paper...
I can see the pilot now, "Please God, let them use Charmen.....lots of Charmen!"
Cartoon,
For those who do not live in the USA: "Charmin" is a toilet paper brand that claims to be soft.
Since he walked away with minor injuries, one article said he had an impact injury to his forehead, I can make light of this by saying... he 'landed' in the most convenient place considering he likely ---- himself on the way down!!
