Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

At what point do you say to yourself, "hey, there might be a problem here." I would think that would occur before one's nose covers your face. Evidently not.

Give the guy a break, he was drinking two liters of brandy a day. Probably took him two weeks to get sober enough to find a mirror so he could find out why the glass couldn't reach his mouth anymore.............

I don't mean to be nosy, but was he snorting that alcohol? Yes, he has a big nose, but at 2 liters a day of alcohol per day, he may have even bigger problems, although it might not be evident at first glance. Another thing... how fat were this guy's fingers? eeewwww! I hope that didn't booger up any images you had in your head. lol, I'm done - H2

What I want to know is whether Workman's Compensation will cover this one? After all, it does appear to have happened on the job. Also, if this is how big his nose got, I would HATE to see the size of his liver by now.

That does away with one of the favourite things the Chinese call non-Asians: "Big noses"

Makes me think of Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf. "My my, grandma, what a big nose you have!" "The better to smell you with, my dear." By the way, if by brandy they really meant the Chinese mutai - the stuff is so powerful you could run a car with it. Gin and vodka are like near beer in comparison.

How did drinking make his nose big? Everyone I know drinks and they don't have problems with swollen body parts- well, except maybe their liver!

Doctors say he has been left with a condition called rhinophyma, caused by the constant expansion of blood vessels in his nose.

Interesting... I googled to provide some links to rhinophyma and found that it is no longer considered as a result of alcohol, but seems to be a severe case of Rosacea.

I got to thinking and I seem to recall an Uncle that had something wrong with his nose for a period of time. Until I read those articles, I had presumed that he was a real boozer and it was a family secret. Now I don't know. - H2

There's a (fairly accurate) stereotype about Chinese in that their faces redden with alcohol consumption. As such, the guy may have had rosacea to start with, which was then exacerbated by his constant alcohol... tasting.
