Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

what does it do? refuse to let a 14 year old have a sex change? yeah thats CRAZY! even if he was allowed to get it why should a health care plan cover that? Socialized medicine should pay for medically necessary procedures not "elective" non medically necessary procedures like this or breast enlargement, hair replacement etc. If you're born with the wrong junk, sorry that sucks but you should pay to have it changed yourself. Whats next? they should pay for hair colouring for brunettes who wish they were blonde? or hair transplants for men who go bald?

I'm torn on what to say about this. I mean, yeah he should be able to change his sex, but the whole hormone blocker...mmmm Not sure.

one cannot change one's sex. the genes are still what you were born with. the hormones change back when you stop taking the pills, unless you had certain, um, organs totally removed. its extreme plastic surgery maybe. but its not a sex change.
