A wife who murdered her husband and cut up his body with a saw was caught when she left a leg in the back of the car after driving to a remote woodland spot to bury the corpse.
It's easily done. I left an umbrella on the back seat of my car once....
Methodical Heike Strassman, 34, clubbed husband Thomas, 46, to death
I kind of want to believe that her first name is methodical and it's not a descriptor.
i am really disgusted by how many people make light of this murder. ITS A MURDER people!
Well, I guess she would have gotten away with it had not been for those meddeling kids.
Well.... and the severed leg on the back seat of the car... ;-)

It is a very odd murder.
It is just like leaving the gas tank open when you drive off from the station, really they are quite similar, only one is a human leg that you cut off.
Rank amateur!
LOL.
Maybe it was her favorite.
The middle leg?
"I panicked and I made a mistake," she told the court.
Oh, well then that's fine. Off you go.
Was the "mistake" forgetting about the leg or the murder? Wow..just wow. Guess she won't be hurrying back to her kids anytime soon. The things people think they can get away with!
I thought you put corpses in the trunk. What was it doing in the back seat where it could stain the upholstery?
It was in a garbage bag, the upholstery should be fine
Thanks for clarifying that, FrogMom. I was worried ;-)
You people are killing me! LOL!
It was the icky one, I thought it could wait till later!
"I feel like I'm forgetting something, but, what in the world is it"?
mur??
The ability to count--PRICELESS.
Oh my goodness..... I snorted when I read that... Now everyone in my lab is looking at me funny :p
Now where did I put those keys?!?
Well, I would suppose, that after murdering someone, you might be in bit of a panic. Poor thing though, after all that work! Yuck.
Too bad it wasn't an arm though, she might have been able to stuff that under the seat.
LOL this is too funny... So many jokes here which honestly does not bother me. What does bother me is that had this been an article about somone chopping a puppy in pieces you all would have been soo upset and naming a million ways to tourture the person. Stupid humans.
Puppies are cute and fluffy. This guy was a douche:
She claimed she'd been driven to murder by her policeman husband's violence and feared what he would do to her if she asked for a divorce.
Show me a story about a puppy that beats his wife and has her scared to death of him who ends up chopped to pieces and I'll show you a story we can poke fun at.
Puppy chow - now with real puppies. Everything your dog needs to grow up big and strong!
This will cost her an arm and a leg now.
He has a leg-up on her.
She kept is so she'd have a leg to stand on in court.
Maybe she still gets a kick out of him.
Thank you and remember to tip your waitress
LOL, dontbh8n.
Shame the way women have been programmed to fear the people that abuse them.
Oops!
Minor details.
It sure is a good thing that most criminals are stupid.
It also explains why the prisons are full.
Not full enough...still too many politicians, lobbyists, and CEOs running around out there.
