People who have at least two sugary fizzy drinks each week may be putting themselves at risk of deadly pancreatic cancer, scientists say.
A study found that consumer two or more calorific soft drinks a week increases the chances of developing the disease by 87 per cent, compared to people who avoid them.

So, it should have been able to be determined whether the risk was related to the sugar in the sodas, or to soemthing else in the soda. I drink over a liter of Diet soda daily, and have done so for years - do they see an increase in diet soda drinkers? I'm still waiting for an argument against diet soda, other than the idea that flavored beverage stimulate appetite.
