Prom has been cancelled for students at the Fulton, Mississippi Itawamba Agricultural High School after a student made a request for a same sex date. Constance McMillen petitioned the high school, requesting that she bring another female to the prom as a date. The school board responded by issuing a statement announcing the end of the school prom.
