A couple is suing United/Continental Airlines for removing a sex toy from their luggage, and taping it to the top of their checked bag last year.
The couple was returning from Costa Rica to Norfolk in May 2011, when the incident occurred. They are suing the airline for "intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and negligence."
Airport staff allegedly removed the item from their luggage, covered it in lubricant, and placed it on one of the checked bags before putting it back on the baggage carousel.
